    Mrs. Olufunke Mojisola Adepoju (nee Afelumo) was appointed as the Director of Administration University College Hospital with effect from 21st April, 2007 following the approval of the Federal Ministry if Health, Abuja on the recommendation of the Board of Management.

    Born on 3rd May, 1955 she attended Queen’s School, Ede/Ibadan, from 1967 to 1971 where she obtained the West African School Certificate. She was a student at the Seton Hall University, South Orange, New Jersey, USA from January, 1976 – May, 1979 where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She proceeded to Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, Newark, New Jersey, USA between September 1979 to May 1981, where she obtained a Master of Public Administration Degree with specialization in Health Service Administration.

    Biography
    On her return to Nigeria from the United States, she had her mandatory National Youth Service at the University College Hospital, Ibadan from June 1982 – May 1983. She was subsequently appointed as an Administrative Officer in the Hospital with effect from 20th June, 1983 on the completion of her National Youth Service.

    In the course of her career, she served in the establishment & Training (now Human  Resources) and the General Administrative Duties Departments respectively as a member of the Management Team. In these capacities, she anchored several Committees and Project s that yielded laudable results and brought about a great improvement in the Health Care Service Delivery of the Hospital. Having distinguished herself as an astute Administrator, she rose through the ranks and was appointed the Deputy Director of Administration (General Duties) in September 2002. She held this position till she was appointed the Director of Administration in April, 2007.

    In order to broaden her intellectual and professional acumen, she has travelled extensively for Courses and Conferences both locally and internationally among which are: Leadership Strategies for Evolving Health Care Executives Programme held in the School of Public Health, conducted by the Department of Health Policy & Management and Centre for Continuing Professional Education Harvard University, Boston USA; the NIM & McDonough School of Business Executive Management Program International held at the McDonough School of Business, Georgetown University, Washington DC; the Leadership Development Programme held in London Management Centre, London, United Kingdom; and the NIM/MBS International Workshop on Leadership held in Manchester Business School, Manchester United Kingdom.

    In addition, she has also presented papers on " the Dynamics of Due Process"; "Environment of Health Care Services: It's Implication on Nursing Practice"; "Structure and Function of a Teaching Hospital"; Management of Time, Self and Others"; "Factors of Organizational Effectiveness".

    She is a member of the Institute of Health Services Administrators of Nigeria, and the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered) as well as an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management. She is happily married with children.
