    Dr. Jesse Abiodun Otegbayo resumed duties as Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee of University College Hospital Ibadan on 1st October, 2010. Born on 17th December, 1961, Dr. J.A Otegbayo attended Ila Grammar School, Ila Orangun between 1977 - 1979, Methodist Grammar School, Otan-Ile from 1979 - 1981 and Command Secondary School, Kaduna between 1981 - 1983. He qualified as a Medical Doctor in November 1989, obtaining MBBS from the University of Ibadan. He obtained a certificate in Immunology at the University of Ibadan in 2001 and Master of Science, Chemical Pathology/Immunology at the same University in year 2003. He was awarded Postgraduate Certificate in Gastroenterology by the University of Tel-Aviv, Israel in 2002.

    Biography
    Dr. Otegbayo has a doctorate degree(PhD) in Chemical Pathology/Immunology at the University of Ibadan. He became a  fellow of the West African College of Physicians (FWACP) in 1998 and  also, a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology (FACG) in June, 2009. Dr. Otegbayo is currently a Reader in the University of Ibadan, Ibadan.

    Dr. Otegbayo is quiet, humble and firm person with commitment to the growth of this Hospital. He served as President, Association of Resident Doctors, UCH, Ibadan  between 1995 and 1996; National Vice President, National Association of Resident Doctors of Nigeria (1996 -1997), and National Publicity  Secretary/Public Relation Officer, (MDCAN) 2003-2005. He was also the Chairman, Medical and Dental Consultants' Association of Nigerian (MDCAN), UCH Branch from 2006 to 2008 and a member of the State Executive Council, Nigeria Medical Association (NMA), Oyo State (2006 -2008). He is a Chartered Member of Nigerian Institute of Management(MNIM).

    Dr. Otegbayo has attended many Local and International Conferences and Seminars. He is a renowned researcher with over 65 publications to his credit. A Consultant Physician & Gastroenterologist, Dr. Otegbayo is happily married to Dr. (Mrs.)Bolanle Otegbayo of the Department of Food Science and Technology, Bowen University, Iwo,  Osun State,Nigeria and the marriage is blessed with two children.
